CLEMSON – People might have expected a letdown the week before the Tigers travel to Columbia, but Clemson was having none of it.

On Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day, Clemson took care of business from the opening snap in a 52-6 win over The Citadel Saturday afternoon in Death Valley.

It was also the final tune up for the Tigers before they travel to Columbia to battle archrival South Carolina in a 7 p.m. showdown. A win next weekend and the Tigers should secure a spot in a BCS bowl game.

What it means for The Citadel: The Bulldogs finish their season 5-7 and will look to build on a season filled with closes losses.
