LOUISVILLE, KY – Clemson and Louisville square later tonight in an early-season ACC Atlantic Showdown.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:12 p.m., and for those Clemson fans who want to see the Clemson buses pull into the stadium, they should arrive around 5:50 p.m.

The following is information gathered to help those who have made the trip to see the game.

*The ESPN College GameDay set will be on the lawn in front of Grawemeyer Hall (2301 S 3rd Street Louisville, KY 40208). Lines are expected to form for fans to gain access to the areas closest to the stage beginning at 4 a.m., however, tents are not permitted. The pit behind the stage will open at approximately 5 a.m.

Access to the Stadium and GameDay Area

Limited free parking (about 600 spaces) is available for the public on Saturday morning only in the parking lot at 2545 South 3rd Street, located south of Eastern Parkway on 3rd Street. Fans may park in this lot until 2 p.m. Additional parking may be available surrounding the UofL campus, but some lots are used for event parking related to the game Saturday night.

The Ville'ns, UofL's student support group, will assist in handing out T-shirts to the first 1,000 fans to enter the pit. Donuts will be available for fans as they enter the pit on Saturday morning.

The gates to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will open two hours prior to kickoff, starting at 6 p.m., with special Happy Hour pregame drink prices available. Fans arriving early can purchase a draft beer for $3 and canned beer for $4 on the Norton Terrace only.

Rules for "The Pit"

Fans may arrive early to begin lining up for access to the pit at 4 a.m. ET, with the area being open around 5 a.m.

Fans entering the pit will be checked by a security wand.

No bags, backpacks or purses permitted in the pit

No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signage will be allowed (i.e., no political, religious, or .com, .org, .net signage)

No signs on a stick

No pens, pencils, markers or dry erase boards

No food or drinks

Throwing of objects is prohibited

First Aid

First Aid at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium is provided by KentuckyOne Health. First aid stations are located on the main concourse outside of sections 102, 112, 126 and on the UPS Flight Deck at the south end. A volunteer physician and ambulance personnel are available to assist in any medical emergency.

Handicapped Parking

For all University of Louisville home football games, parking in handicapped spaces requires a valid permit with matching space number in an assigned lot. Any vehicle parked in an incorrect space is subject to removal. All handicapped spaces are reserved and not available to visitors at home football games.

Additional handicapped parking is available at the Floyd Street parking garage (located at 2126 South Floyd Street). The Park and Ride shuttle service will provide wheelchair accessible transport for handicapped fans from the garage to the stadium bus lane (located near Gate 3). The Park and Ride Shuttles run 3 hours before kickoff, and up to two (2) hours after the completion of the game. For example, for a noon game, the Park and Ride shuttles start at 9 a.m.

Lost and Found Services

Lost and Found is located at each of the customer relations booths outside of Sections 108, 120, and 132, and on the UPS Flight Deck. If an item is found, please give it to an usher or turn it in to the nearest Customer Relations Booth. If an item is lost, check with one of the Customer Relations Booths in the stadium. After the game all the lost and found items will be held in the Stadium Office, Room 507. To inquire about a lost item, call the stadium at (502) 852-0083.

Parking

For home football games, parking lots A-N and S & T are assigned to season ticket holders. General parking is available at the Kentucky Exposition Center and/or surface roads west of the stadium. Limited parking is available at the Student Activities Center and Floyd Street parking garage. NOTE: For 8 p.m. football games the lots will close immediately after the game.

Prohibited Items

Firearms or weapons of any kind (e.g. firearms, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, slingshots, concealed weapons, etc.)

Fireworks of any kind (including smoke bombs and flares)

Glass or plastic bottles, cans, coolers, containers, food or beverages of any kind

Air horns, whistles, seat cushions with backs, artificial noise makers (e.g. thunder sticks, drums, horns)

Illegal drugs or chemicals

Laser pens & pointers

Strollers

Inflated footballs or any other ball of any shape or size

Umbrellas

Animals (except service dogs)

Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertising items, etc.

Skateboards, rollers blades, roller skates, roller shoes, hover boards, etc.

Any unapproved flags or banners of any shape or size.

Purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Anyone with an item that does not pass security measures will be asked to either return the item to their vehicle or dispose of it before entering Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Oversized bags and backpacks are not allowed in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Clutches, small purses, and diaper bags may be brought into the stadium but will be searched at the gate inspection area. Please be aware that prohibited items, policies and security parameters may be modified from event to event as security levels change.
