Wayne Gallman says the controversy is over, and he is “100 percent” a Clemson Tiger.

Gallman, the 2013 running back commit out of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson, caused some consternation a week ago when he mentioned that he was concerned over a potential move by the school to the Big 12, and that he wanted to take a few visits to see some other schools.

He says he has now talked with the Clemson coaches, that all is well, and the only reason he wanted to take those visits was so he could have some fun with fellow Grayson recruits Robert Nkemdiche and David Kamara, both of whom Clemson has offered.

“I am staying with Clemson,” he told TigerNet this week. “I just wanted to kind of take those visits with Robert and David, just to have some fun. And now, I may not even take them. I don’t know yet.”

He said he had a talk with the Clemson coaches, and they straightened everything out.

“They contacted me after they heard that, just to see my thoughts, and we had a long talk,” he said. “Once they told me there wasn’t going to be a conference change and they were going to stay in the ACC, I felt a lot better. I was thinking about my family and my friends being able to watch me play and that kind of thing. But we got that cleared up. It had me thinking a lot.”

He said he still plans on attending Dabo Swinney’s camp next week, and hopes that Kamara will also make the trip.

“I really want to get back up there and see everything, and I hope David comes along, too,” he said. “I want to get up there for the first session which runs, I think, Tuesday through Thursday. But I just want everybody to know I am 100 percent Clemson.”

As a junior, Gallman rushed 103 times for 703 yards and eight touchdowns in helping lead Grayson to a AAAAA state title.
