CLEMSON ? Going to the big football game, but don?t have tickets for the little ones? They too can enjoy a day of fun in Clemson with Fike Recreation Center?s Gymsitter service.

Children ages 3 to 10 can participate in the program, which will be available for home football games that begin at or before 7 p.m. Games this season include the Citadel game on Sept. 6, the N.C. State game on Sept. 13, the S.C. State game on Sept. 20, the Maryland game on Sept. 27, the Georgia Tech game on Oct. 18 and the Duke game on Nov. 15.

The fee is $50 per child in advance and $60 for late registration per child if space is available.

Children will be able to participate in a number of activities, such as relay races, swimming, making crafts and listening to storytellers and other speakers. A snack will be provided. The children will be supervised by the Gymsitter staff, who all are CPR/AED and first-aid certified and have experience working with children.

?The entire family can come for the weekend. Not only does Fike serve students, but also the Clemson community and members of our Clemson family who travel from out of town,? said Susan Pope, director of fitness programs and services. ?We want to give children a taste of the Clemson experience.?

To register a child for Gymsitters, contact Fike Recreation Center at (864) 656-6673 or visit the campus recreation web site to download the registration form at www.clemson.edu/campusrec. Forms and payment must be brought in, faxed or mailed and received no later than the Monday before the game to get the early registration fee.
