Fifty-One Clemson Student-Athletes Receive Degrees

Clemson, SC—Fifty-one student athletes received degrees from Clemson University on Friday during two graduation ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum. The list of graduates included 11 Clemson football players and 11 women’s swimmers.

The list of football players included wide receiver Tyler Grisham, one of Clemson’s top 10 receivers in history, and punter Jimmy Maners, the number-three ranked punter in Clemson history, who earned a second degree in philosophy.

The list of women’s swimmers who graduated included Rachel Regone, who graduated with a perfect 4.0 in Health Sciences. Regone recently received an NCAA Postgraduate scholarship. She is a two-time ACC Champion. Multiple ACC Champion Michelle Parkhust also received her undergraduate degree on Friday. She was one of six women’s swimmers who were named to the ACC Academic Honor roll each of the last four years.

K.C. Rivers received his degree in sociology. The former All-ACC basketball player played in a school record 91 wins in his four years and is sixth on the school’s all-time scoring list.

The list of baseball players who earned degrees on Friday included Trey Delk, pitcher on the Clemson baseball team, who is slated to be the Tigers starting pitcher against UNC Wilmington on Friday night.

Clemson’s ACC Champion rowing team had seven student-athletes earn degrees on Friday, including Carla Englund, a member of the All-ACC team, and Megan Bendik, a member of Clemson’s ACC Crew of the Year.

Ten track and field athletes earned degrees on Friday, including former ACC Champion Corwin Mills. Jeannette Abbott, who helped the Clemson volleyball team to the ACC Championship in 2007 and to two NCAA Tournament appearances, earned her degree in marketing.
