Offensive Back - Woodrow Dantzler, QB, Clemson

Woodrow Dantzler, a quarterback from Orangeburg, S.C., gained 418 yards

of Clemson's 502 total offensive yards and accounted for four

touchdowns, as No. 25 Clemson nipped No. 9 Georgia Tech in overtime

47-44. In Clemson's highest ranked road win in 20 years, the graduate

student rushed for 164 yards and passed for 254 yards to accumulate the

second-highest offensive output in Clemson history. Dantzler holds the

previous mark at 435 yards versus Maryland in 1999. The quarterback

passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more, including the game

winning score in overtime on an 11-yard scamper into the end zone.

Offensive Lineman - Akil Smith, OT, Clemson

Akil Smith, a junior offensive tackle from Richmond, Va., graded at 91%

for his 86 snaps of action in Clemson's 47-44 overtime victory over ACC

foe Georgia Tech. Smith grade and his 17 knockdown blocks were both

career-highs, and he made a crucial block on both of Woodrow Dantzler's

touchdown runs. Smith was on the field for all seven of Clemson's

touchdowns.

Defensive Lineman - E.J. Henderson, LB, Maryland

E.J. Henderson, a 6'2", 243 pounder from Aberdeen, Md., matched a

season-high with 18 tackles in Maryland's 32-20 win over West Virginia.

Out of his 14 unassisted tackles, 3 were for loss, and one was a

quarterback sack. Additionally, the junior linebacker was credited with

one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry. Henderson has led the Terps

in total tackles in all four games this season.

Defensive Back - Kendyll Pope, OLB, Florida State

Kendyll Pope, a sophomore outside linebacker, totaled a career-high 14

tackles, ten of which were unassisted, in the Seminoles' 48-24 victory

over Wake Forest. The Ft. White, Fla., native picked off two Demon

Deacon passes, also a career-high, and each of his interceptions led to

second quarter touchdowns for Florida State. The team leader with 43

tackles, Pope stopped a two-point conversion with a tackle at the

one-yard line.

Specialist - John Stone, WR, Wake Forest

John Stone, a senior wide receiver from Somers Point, N.J., produced 233

all-purpose yards, leading Wake Forest in rushing with 70 yards,

receiving with 57 yards, and returns with 106 yards. Stone rushed 11

times for 70 yards to average 6.4 yards per rush, and his 57 receiving

yards came on two receptions. His four kickoff returns accumulated 106

yards, with a long return of 37 yards.

Rookie - Darian Durant, QB, North Carolina

Darian Durant, a freshman from Florence, S.C., went 10 of 14 for 128

passing yards and two touchdowns in leading the Tar Heels past

intrastate rival NC State 17-9. Durant managed to rush nine times for 46

yards without being sacked, and he quarterbacked North Carolina on all

three of its scoring drives. Durant's two touchdown passes both went to

wide receiver Kory Bailey
