CLEMSON FOOTBALL

Dantzler, Eason, Hafley to Graduate Saturday

by -

Clemson, SC-Heisman Trophy candidate Woodrow Dantzler, and defensive

starters Nick Eason and Charles Hafley will receive their

undergraduate degrees from Clemson Saturday during the school's

summer session graduation exercises at Littlejohn Coliseum. The

commencement ceremonies begin at 11:00 AM. All three will play for

the Tigers this year as graduate students.

Dantzler will receive his degree in marketing, while Eason

and Hafley will receive degrees in sociology. Eason's graduation is

especially noteworthy as he will have completed his requirements in

three years. He is the first Clemson football player to receive his

degree with two years of eligibility remaining.

Clemson will have a school record seven active players, all

listed as starters at this point, on this year's team. Will Merritt

(OG), Kyle Young (C), T.J. Watkins (OG) and Matt Bailey (WR) all

earned their degrees previously and will be graduate students this

year.
