Dabo Swinney's All-In Ball to be held Friday

On October 13, 2008 Coach Dabo Swinney was named interim head coach of the Clemson Tiger football team. That day he told the players if they were not “All In” they should not come out to practice. Since, Coach Swinney and his wife Kathleen have set an example of what “ALL IN” means with the formation of Dabo’s All In Team Foundation in January 2009. The foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public charity.

The mission is to raise awareness of critical education and health issues in order to change lives of people across the state of South Carolina by supporting Breast Cancer Research, The Phoenix Center, Call Me Mister, RISE Program and other significant causes.

Dabo's All In Foundation is holding the first annual All In Ball on Friday, April 9th, the night before Clemson’s football spring game, at the Madren Center Pavilion in Clemson, S.C. from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The event will raise funds for the foundation’s activities.

The event is expected to sell-out, with a capacity crowd of 500 supporters.

Entertainment, food, and former Clemson Legends featuring CJ Spiller, Jacoby Ford, and others will be part of this fun, casual event. The evening will also feature the popular live and silent auction.

Coach Swinney, “Kathleen and I are excited about our first event of this type. The event kicks off our 2010 fund-raising activities. The foundation had a great first year in 2009 raising funds for breast cancer prevention and research, financially supporting Clemson’s Call Me Mister program, the Phoenix Center in Greenville, S.C., and being one of the first organizations donating to Mark Herzlich’s cause at Boston College; Uplifting Athletes.”

A silent action will include golf packages, a dinner cruise and signed memorabilia. Available during the live auction will be game tickets, sideline passes, visits to practice and other team events, coach-for-a-day, honorary coach for the spring game, ski trip, and a round of golf with Swinney and U.S. Open champ Lucas Glover.

Tickets are $100.00 per person; $50.00 tax deductible, and can be purchased through the foundation’s website at www.dabosallinteam.com. Attendees must be 21 years of age.
