Croley Looking Forward to College Football Career

by -

Brandon Croley Defensive back First Coast High School (Jacksonville, Fla.) 6'0", 180 pounds. Clemson was stunned on National Signing Day when First Coast High wide receiver Mike McIntosh went back on his verbal commitment and signed with the University of Florida. Although McIntosh didn't want to be a Tiger, his teammate, defensive back Brandon Croley, wasn't going to pass up on the opportunity. "I really can't wait to get up to Clemson, learn the plays, and meet my new teammates," Croley said. "I am looking forward to getting out of Jacksonville and starting my college career."

Croley has remained busy since the high school football season ended. After averaging 12 points per contest on the school's basketball team, he has been following the workout book that Clemson sent him, and tries to run at least two miles every day. Having qualified academically, Croley hasn't been promised any amount of playing time, but said if he works hard enough, he could be on the field as a freshman. "Whether I play or get red-shirted depends on me and how I do when I come in," Croley said. "I am looking forward to the season because although we had a good season last year, I know we will be better this year. We lost two good receivers, but I was at the spring game and I know we have some other receivers who can step up." Defensive Back Scholarship Breakdown
