Contractors Begin Work in Death Valley

by -

CLEMSON -- Work has begun on part of a $2.1 million project to upgrade the stadium and athletic fields, which is being funded by athletic revenue bonds and athletic operating revenues.

This phase of the project will include the installation of new subsurface drainage, irrigation and turf and the replacement of sanitary and storm sewers beneath the field.

Contractors will begin drilling and blasting rock in Memorial Stadium next week.

The project is slated for completion around June 21, 2002.
