Coach Tommy Bowden on status of DeAndre McDaniel, sophomore safety who was charged with assault of a high and aggravated nature on his girlfriend.

"We continue to review information concerning this case, and I want to be clear that I take these charges against DeAndre McDaniel seriously.

"DeAndre remains a Clemson student, and I will allow him to be an active member of the football team at this time. We will continue to monitor the legal process as it develops. His status for our regular season competition is yet to be determined."
