Clemson to meet Kent State in 2013 |
CLEMSON, SC - Clemson has added Kent State to its non-conference football schedule for the 2013 season. The school now has its schedule of opponents complete through the 2014 season. Exact dates of the ACC games through the 2014 season will be announced in the winter prior to each season.
Clemson and Kent State will meet at Clemson on September 14, 2013 at Memorial Stadium. It will be the first meeting between the two schools. The Tigers also will play Georgia (home), South Carolina (away) and The Citadel (home) that season. When Clemson plays Georgia in 2013 and 2014 it will be the first meetings between the two schools since the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Clemson will play Auburn in the Georgia Dome to open the 2012 season on September 1, a game that was announced prior to the Clemson vs. Auburn game last season. That will conclude a three-game series between the ACC and SEC schools who share the same mascot. Clemson also plays Ball State, Furman and South Carolina, all at home, in 2012.
