“We were hitting on all cylinders. They tried a bunch of different fronts, 3 defensive lineman, 4 defensive
lineman.”

“Everything this week in practice pointed to us having a good week.”

“We talked a lot about the VT-UNC game. They played very well defensively, held VT to 260 total yards,
we didn’t discuss the Furman game so much. We tried to keep their attention by really focusing on how
well UNC played against UNC.”

“Our offensive line really responded today and made some statements. That’s a good sign that they can
come out after I challenged them and showed some pride.”

“We thought that UNC would show a little more intensity than they brought today. We were expecting
them to have the same intensity that they brought to the VT game.”

UNC head coach John Bunting, Windows Media, (5:45)

Opening statement: “We didn’t play very well. We let some things get to us early. We didn’t plan well for this game. We have
a bye week coming up now. We knew Clemson was a very good football team. They played very well.
They took it to us.”

When asked if his program is still headed in the right direction: “It’s absolutely going in the right direction. We need to become a more consistent football team.”

When asked about this season’s inconsistencies: “We’re going to look at this film when we get back. We’re going to work to fix this and try to become a more consistent football team.”

When asked if he will shake things up personnel-wise going into the bye week: “I don’t know about that. A lot of young players got some good minutes in the second half. We have to figure out who the best guys are to put on the field.”

On backup quarterback Joe Dailey: “I’m still very confident in Joe (Dailey). When things got out of hand, we decided to go with Cam (Sexton)
and let him go through those struggles.”

QB Will Proctor, Windows Media, (0:43)

RB James Davis, Windows Media, (1:49)

“The offense did what it was supposed to do today. I have to give credit to my offensive line. They
opened up holes for me and allowed me to gain big yards the entire game. Reggie Merriweather and CJ
Spiller did a great job as well. Having those two other guys keeps all of us fresh for the entire day. This is
just the kind of game we hoped to have today.”

On 90-yard drive to open the game: “That really set the tone for our offense. It showed we could move the ball and do good things on offense.
Any time you have a long drive is a plus. It helps both the offense and the defense. To do that the first
drive of the game made it even more special.”

UNC QB Cam Sexton, Windows Media, (1:19)
