Clemson AD on Kickoff Times For Last Two Games |
CLEMSON -- The Clemson vs. South Carolina game at Clemson on November 23 will
kickoff at 7:45 PM and will be televised by ESPN. Earlier today it was also announced that the Maryland at Clemson game on November 16 will be televised by ESPN-2 and will kickoff at 7:45 PM. Clemson AD Terry Don Phillips on Clemson's last two home games starting at 7:45 PM: "I personally prefer to play games during the day and I know our fans feel that way. We are aware that a high percentage of our fans travel a great distance to see the Tigers play in Death Valley and playing games at night presents an inconvenience. I have talked with people at ESPN about our unique situation. "At the same time, playing on national television on ESPN or ESPN-2 will give us the opportunity to showcase our football program and our University on a national stage. We have won our last two games and there is national interest in our team. There is also a great deal of interest in the 100th game between Clemson and South Carolina. That is why ESPN has selected these games for prime time viewing. "When we moved the NC State game to Thursday night, they did promise to schedule our Georgia Tech and homecoming game against Wake Forest earlier this year in the afternoon and we appreciate that."
