Checking in on Clemson commitments

Clemson commitments and targets were back in action last Friday night. The following is a recap of the stats on each player.

OL Ryan Norton, Mauldin (SC) – Graded out at 88% in a 58-6 win over Woodmont.

OL Shaq Anthony, Wren (SC) - Graded out at 88%.

WR Adam Humphries, Dorman (SC) – Humphries had his best game of the season in a 21-7 win over Spartanburg – He had two catches for 22 yards and three kickoff returns for 98 yards, including one for 65 yards. Defensively, he had five tackles, two pass breakups and an interception.

RB Mike Bellamy, Charlotte (FL)  - In his season opener, Bellamy had 15 rushes for 94 yards and four TDs.

QB Tony McNeal, Chester (SC) – Completed 15-of-28 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns in 49-25 win over Lancaster. For the season, he is 42-68 for 698 yards with 10 TDs and 1 INT in three games.

WR Charone Peake, Dorman (SC) – Caught 3 passes for 64 yards in Dorman’s 21-7 win.

ATH Robert Smith, Woodland (SC)  - Rushed for 100 yards with 1 TD; threw for 230 yards with 3 TDs; 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and one sack in a 35-8 win over Scott’s Branch

DT DeShawn Williams, DT – Had an incredible 20-tackle performance in a 24-7 loss to Greenville, one of which was a sack and four of which were tackles for loss.

TE Eric MacLain, Fayetteville (NC) – The tight end prospect had no receptions on offense, but he had 14 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble on defense.

LB Colton Walls, Charlotte (NC) - Had 11 tackles, two forced fumbles and a sack.


Clemson targets

WR Sammy Watkins, Fort Myers (FL) - Returned the opening kickoff of the game 90 yards for a touchdown, and hauled in a 34-yard pass in a 49-7 win.

QB Morgan Roberts, Charlotte (NC) – Went 11-for-25 for 151 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed 15 times for 55 yards in front of Clemson offensive coordinator Billy Napier.


RB Shon Carson, Scranton (SC) - Rushed for 224 yards and 3 touchdowns.
