Charlie Whitehurst was stripped of the ball by Jyles Tucker for a touchdown.

On the game: “We got beat and whipped on both sides of the ball. That is all there is to it.”

On when the game went south: “I thought we fought the whole game. Obviously we didn’t come back. The game is over at halftime I guess you can say but there wasn’t a point in time where we gave up so that is a positive.”

On the strip for a touchdown: “He just took it from me. I guess it’s a freak thing. You just hope it doesn’t happen in a game like this. He made a great play. I’ve never really seen anything like that.”

On moving the ball but no points: “Doesn’t matter if you rack up some yards. We move the ball ok but if you don’t put it in you got nothing to show for it.”

On Bowden’s job security: “I don’t know the answer to that. We are just going to go out there and fight as hard as we can every week.”

On his emotions after the game: “I’m not sure. I’m mad we didn’t play as well as we should have. I’m shocked. I didn’t think it would happen. We thought we came to play but I guess we didn’t.”

On having to play FSU next week: “You got to bounce back and there is no better team to do it against than FSU. They are the biggest test of the year. They’re real hot and playing good. We just got to come out and see if we can answer.”

On being down 35-0 at halftime: “You’re in a situation where it’s going to be tough to win the game. We are not going to give up. We are going to fight and anything can happen. If you score every time you get the ball you have a chance. That’s what we were trying to do. It was just trying to keep everybody on the same page.”

On being upset on not going for it on 4th down on first drive in second half: “Yeah maybe a little bit. I don’t know. He makes the decisions I don’t. It was 4th and five from the 50 or their 45. It wouldn’t have mattered I guess.”

On being upset when field goal team was sent out: “It was a touchdown. I saw it with my own eyes. I was upset at the ref. It was touchdown.”
