CLEMSON – As expected, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney announced following Thursday’s practice that freshman kicker Chandler Catanzaro will handle the place kicking duties this Saturday night at Florida St.

Catanzaro was replaced by senior Richard Jackson a week ago, but Jackson missed two field goals against N.C. State. The change came about after Catanzaro missed two field goals the prior week at Boston College.

Swinney announced earlier in the week that the winner of this week’s kicking battle would be announced on Thursday, and the decision was made after Catanzaro hit 25-of-26 field goals this week in practice to win the job. For the season, he is 7-of-12 on field goals and has a long of 48 yards.

Announced as out for FSU are: Daniel Andrews, LB, torn ACL (out for year); Kalon Davis, OG, Back (Out for year); Andre Ellington, RB, toe; Kourtnei Brown, DE, high ankle sprain.

Listed as probably are: Carlton Lewis, S, broken jaw; Miguel Chavis, DT, foot ; Jaron Brown, WR, ankle.
