Brandon Jamison Signs with Clemson

Clemson, SC -- Brandon Jamison, a linebacker from Southwest Mississippi Junior

College, has signed a letter of intent with the Clemson football program. Jamison played

two seasons at Southwest Mississippi and will be a junior at Clemson for the 2002

season.

Jamison signed with Clemson out of Lower Richland High School in February of

2000. He was a Shrine Bowl player for the South Carolina team and was ranked by some

services as the top linebacker in South Carolina.

Jamison was an all-state player in the fall of 1999 as he had 161 tackles, including

five sacks. He had 140 tackles as a junior and finished his career with 381. The native of

Hopkins, SC was ranked as the sixth best player in South Carolina by The State Newspaper

after the 1999 season. Also a standout in track, he ranked second in the state

in the shot put as a senior.

NOTE: Later this evening Dan Scott will have more on this signee and the other JUCO LB Kelvin

Morris who is expected to sign tonight.
