CLEMSON -- According to Dan Scott from his radio show Sports Talk on WCCP 104.9 FM in South Carolina, Auburn has raised the possibility of getting out of upcoming scheduled football games with Clemson. Speaking to a local civic group, Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips said Auburn raised the question of canceling the series, but no formal discussions have been held. Phillips indicated he would allow Auburn to buy out the contract if they did not want to play the games.

Auburn and Clemson are scheduled to play at Auburn on September 23, 2006 and at Death Valley on September 15, 2007. There is also a home and home series set for 2010 and 2011.
