OFFENSIVE BACK

Georgia Tech quarterback Reggie Ball passed for a career-high 320 yards and accounted for three touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ 27-21 win over North Carolina on Saturday. The Stone Mountain, Ga., junior completed 24 of 47 passes with touchdown passes of five and 48 yards and no interceptions. Ball also rushed for 20 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, and had a 33-yard reception to set up a field goal. Ball's 320 yards passing mark the best game by a Georgia Tech quarterback since 2001.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Virginia Tech offensive lineman Will Montgomery did not allow any sacks or hurries and played center, left guard and right guard in the Hokies’ 45-0 win over Duke on Saturday. The Clifton, Va., senior graded out at 91 percent on 48 snaps to lead the line. Montgomery also led the line with five knockdown blocks.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Clemson defensive end Gaines Adams had a career high eight tackles, including a career-high four tackles for loss, in Clemson’s 28-24 victory over Maryland on Saturday. Adams, a junior from Greenwood, S.C., also had a career-best 2.5 sacks among his four tackles for loss, including one on Maryland's last drive that proved crucial in ending Maryland's last threat of the game.

DEFENSIVE BACK

Virginia Tech strong corner back Roland Minor had a 23-yard interception return for a touchdown, as well as a breakup and a tackle, in the Hokies’ 45-0 win at Duke. Minor, a sophomore from Washington, D.C., was part of a defense that limited Duke to just 35 yards of total offense, the lowest total ever recorded by a Virginia Tech defense in the modern era.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Clemson linebacker Nick Watkins had six special teams tackles, including five solo stops, in Clemson's 28-24 win over Maryland on Saturday. The six special teams tackles rank second in Clemson history for a single game, just one off the school record. The New Orleans, La., sophomore, Clemson's starting linebacker, had 13 tackles overall, a career high.

ROOKIE

Florida State quarterback Drew Weatherford completed 27 of his 36 pass attempts for 342 yards with two touchdowns in the Seminoles’ 62-10 win over The Citadel on Saturday. The freshman from Land O’Lakes, Fla., had FSU’s first 300-yard passing game since 2003 and spread the offense around effectively, as three receivers went over 100 yards for the first time in school history. Weatherford had a career-long completion of 51 yards and a 40-yard touchdown pass in the game, and hit all seven of his pass attempts in the second half before being pulled.
