CLEMSON -- After a successful beginning last season, the Clemson University Marching Band will again host 90 Minutes Before Kickoff, a mini-concert and pep rally held at the Outdoor Theatre in the center of the Clemson campus.

"Last season was a hit," said Mark Spede, director of bands. "There was no doubt that we would continue."

One and a half hours before each Clemson home football game, fans can look forward to hearing university favorites as well as selections from the season's halftime shows. In addition, near the end of the mini-concert, the Clemson cheerleaders will join the band for a pre-game pep rally.

Spede said, "The Clemson fans helped launch a new campus tradition last year. Their support was overwhelming. I encourage Tiger fans to make 90 Minutes Before Kickoff part of their tailgating ritual again this year."

Following 90 Minutes Before Kickoff, the Tiger Band will
make its traditional march through the heart of campus, traveling down Fort Hill Street from the Outdoor Theatre to Memorial Stadium.

The times for the first three 90 Minutes Before Kick Off
events are:

10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30

Clemson University vs. University of Georgia

3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6

Clemson University vs. Furman University

3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13
