CLEMSON -- Death Valley is normally where the Tigers play
this time of year, but this year's Tigerama homecoming show will be presented in a different venue where Tigers play -- the newly renovated Littlejohn Coliseum.

The 47th annual Tigerama, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the
coliseum, will be an "all Clemson" extravaganza, said Chris Sieverdes, faculty adviser for Blue Key Honor Society, the group that organizes Tigerama each year.

The day's festivities begin with a pre-show carnival at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of Littlejohn. The carnival will feature the Clemson cheerleaders, the Flying Tigers skydiving team, the Tiger Twirlers as well as giant inflatable games and other activities for kids.

Tigerama will feature the cheerleaders, Rally Cats, Tiger
Band, Tigeroar and the Pershing Rifles. The show will also feature some local talent, as the winners of the first Tigerama Comedy Search will perform. As always, student organizations will perform skits, and Miss Homecoming 2003 will be crowned. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display outside.

The emcees for the evening are Mickey Plyler, a sports talk-show host for Clemson's WCCP-FM radio station, and Bubba Britton, a Clemson alumnus who is now with the Tiger Tailgate Show and was a contestant on ESPN's first season of "Beg, Borrow and Deal."

"By moving Tigerama inside Littlejohn, we're looking at a
much more intimate show for the audience --- I like to use
the word 'cozy.' Weather will not be an issue, the acoustics will be better, and everybody will have a great view," Sieverdes said. "We're also looking at producing a much tighter show without as much lag time between skits. All these things will make for a different kind of show."

Tickets for Tigerama are $5 in advance and $6 at the gate. Tickets are on sale now at the Athletic Department ticket office, the Alumni Center, the Hendrix Student Center, the on-campus bookstore and the University Union.
