CLEMSON, SC -- Terrence Oglesby scored 15 to lead six different Clemson players that would score 9 points or better to carry Clemson to a 93-40 rout of Wofford in Clemson’s home opener on Wednesday night.

The Tigers (4-0) outscored Wofford by 34 in the second half after taking a 42-23 lead into halftime. The Tigers now hold the series advantage 50-16 and the Tigers have won 13 of their last 14 games against the Terriers.

“I'm pleased with the way we played tonight,” said Clemson head coach Oliver Purnell. “The guys got better as the game went on, which was a good thing to see. They did a good job finding their rhythm offensively and they were able to force a lot of turnovers. Then we came out in the second half with a tough mindset and were able to carry it the rest of the game.”

Forward Noah Dahlman was the only Terriers (0-2) to crack double digits with 14 points. The Terriers committed 21 turnovers which lead to 38 points against Clemson's suffocating defensive pressure and were held to just 11.8% (2-17) from three and 27.1% (13-48) from inside the arc.

The game was tied at 14 midway through the first half, but a 3-point play from Raymond Sykes started a 28-9 run by the Tigers to close the half.

“The only way to succeed and win in this place is through the offense first,” said Wofford Head Coach Mike Young. “And also to limit their number of possessions with great defensive play. It’s November and we're a young team. We weren’t prepared for the momentum shift after it was a 14-14 game. We had bad shot selection and our ball handling was not great tonight.”

The Tigers will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Charlotte to try to avenge last year’s loss in Littlejohn Coliseum.
