Shyatt, Tillis Candidates for Cleveland State

by -

CLEMSON – Current Clemson basketball coaches, Larry Shyatt and Darren Tillis, have emerged as possible candidates to replace Rollie Massimino at Cleveland State according to Dan Scott (WCCP FM). Shyatt, whose future at Clemson remains in doubt, had a previous stop at Cleveland State for 6 years as an assistant coach.

Tillis is considered one of the greatest players in Cleveland State history. After a stellar four year career for the Vikings, Tillis was selected as the 21st pick in the NBA draft by Boston. Tillis may be considered a stronger possibility than Shyatt because he will command less of a salary.

Possible Cleveland State head coach candidates:

Larry Shyatt, head coach at Clemson

Darren Tillis, assistant at Clemson

Vince Taylor, assistant at Louisville

Mickey Barrett, assistant at Detroit Mercy

Orlando Early, assistant at Alabama

David Greer, head coach at Wayne State

Ron Hunter, head coach at IUPUI

Mike Moran, head coach at John Carroll University
