San Juan Shootout Notebook

* Clemson?s 90-74 win over DePaul on Friday gave the Tigers a 10-0 record

for the 2007-08 season. It marks the third straight season in which

Clemson has started at least 10-0. The Tigers started 11-0 in 2005-06 and

17-0 last season.

* The Tigers posted 90 points in wins over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and DePaul

in the first two games of the San Juan Shootout. It marks the first time

since the start to the 1994-95 season Clemson has scored 90 points in

consecutive games. The 1994-95 team, coached by Rick Barnes, scored 96 in

the season opener versus Charleston Southern and followed with 98 in a win

over Winthrop.

* Clemson matched a season-high with 12 three-point goals made versus the

Blue Demons. Cliff Hammonds and Terrence Oglesby hit four apiece for the

Tigers, who shot 57.1 percent from long range against DePaul. The Tigers

also had 12 in the win at East Carolina on December 5.

* Six players scored in double figures for Oliver Purnell?s team on Friday

night in the win over DePaul. It marked the first time Clemson had six

double-figure scorers in the same game since a 73-61 win over Maine during

the 2002-03 season.

* Cliff Hammonds improved his three-point accuracy to 50 percent on the

season (26-52) after hitting 4-5 from long range in the win over DePaul.

The senior from Cairo, GA ranks third in school history in career

three-pointers made with 210, just four shy of the second-place total of

214 made by Will Solomon from 1998-2001.

* Trevor Booker recorded his third double-double of the season and sixth

of his career after posting 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win over

DePaul. He was Clemson?s high scorer Friday night and 10 of his points

came from the free throw line (10-12). He is nearly averaging a

double-double at 9.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

* K.C. Rivers notched 10 points in Friday?s contest and has now reached

double figures in the scoring column in 15 straight games, the second

longest streak by an individual player in the ACC.

* Demontez Stitt scored a season-high 14 points on Friday versus DePaul.

The freshman out of Matthews, NC also contributed five assists against

only two turnovers. Stitt was 6-6 from the free throw line to up his

season average to 86 percent.

* Terrence Oglesby scored 21 points in just 19 minutes of play in the

opening round win over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. It was the second straight

game he scored more points than minutes played. He had 22 total points in

the road win at East Carolina in 21 minutes of play. He became the first

player in school history to post more points than minutes played in

consecutive games.

* Raymond Sykes has set his career-high in three straight games for the

Tigers. Sykes had eight points in the win at East Carolina, then trumped

that effort with 11 in the game with Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. He then

tallied 12 points in a career-high 28 minutes played in the win over

DePaul. Needless to say, it was the first back-to-back double figure

scoring games in his career as a Tiger.
