CLEMSON -- Littlejohn Coliseum will not be available to play host to any rounds of the National Invitational Tournament, should the Tigers be selected for the post-season event.

The Coliseum will close after the end of regular season play in order to complete additional renovations needed before "graduation season," according to Robert Wells, chief facilities officer at the university. In addition to Clemson's May 9 graduation ceremony, Littlejohn will also serve as host to ceremonies for several area high schools in May.

"Between now and then, we have to install the permanent floor and the remainder of permanent seating, and we're on a tight timetable," Wells said.

After scheduled graduation ceremonies have been completed, additional work on retractable seating, a grid for staging concerts, and other detail work will be completed.
