Lady Tigers Fall to NCSU 65-52 in ACC Semifinals

GREENSBORO, NC - Carisse Moody scored 21 points, and Ivy Gardner scored 14 in
leading N.C. State to a 65-52 win over Clemson in the semifinal round of the 24th Annual
Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Tournament at Greensboro
Coliseum in Greensboro, NC Sunday afternoon.

N.C. State is now 20-9 overall, while Clemson falls to 20-9 this season.

Erin Batth led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 13 points and seven
rebounds. Krystal Scott and Chrissy Floyd both scored 11 points each for
the Lady Tigers.

N.C. State won the battle of the boards 44-34. Moody had 13 boards for
the Wolfpack.

In the first half, Clemson built a 20-15 lead with 5:00 remaining as Nuria
Forns hit a three point shot from the right side. From this point, N.C.
State went on a 12-2 run and had a 27-22 lead at the half. Tynesha Lewis
scored five points in the Wolfpack run.

In the second half, Clemson went on a 12-5 run and took a 34-32 lead with
13:51 left in the game. From this point, N.C. State went on a 21-4 run and
took a 53-38 lead with 8:21 remaining. Carisse Moody scored nine points in
this Wolfpack rally.

Clemson went on a 13-2 run and narrowed the lead to four points 55-51 with
4:34 left Krystal Scott and Erin Batth both had four points in this rally.
However, N.C. State finished the game on a 10-1 rally and defeated the Lady
Tigers 65-52. Amy Simpson had four points in this final N.C. State run.
