ESPN College GameDay to Broadcast Live from Clemson on Saturday

CLEMSON, SC – The popular weekly series ESPN College GameDay will be broadcast live from Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday for the Clemson vs. Duke men’s basketball game. Doors open for the event at 8:30 AM Saturday, and the one-hour show will be held on the court live at 11 AM. The event is free to the public. A ticket to the game is not required for entry to College GameDay.

The show features ESPN personalities Rece Davis, Hubert Davis, Jay Bilas and Digger Phelps. The 11:00 show will broadcast live from center court at Littlejohn. Clemson is one of only eight schools in all of Division I to be chosen as a host site for College GameDay this season. The show debuted for the 2009-10 season last weekend for a women’s game in Storrs, CT, thus Saturday’s event will be the first men’s basketball GameDay broadcast of the season.

"I am looking forward to going to Clemson for College GameDay," Phelps said. "Since we started the program five years ago, I thought Clemson could challenge any of the places we have visited. The support of the student body and their fans will challenge anything you see at Pauley Pavilion, Allen Fieldhouse or Cameron Indoor Stadium. Oliver Purnell has done a great job at Clemson. I will be there and ready to dance!"

CAT buses will run across campus every 20 minutes from 7:00 AM until broadcast time at 11 AM to transport students. Fans will enter the coliseum through the east gate only (Tiger statue side) and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Promotional items will be given away, including t-shirts, hats and gift cards. One lucky fan will even have the chance to win $17,500 on a half court shot.
