Clemson Reaches Agreement with Civic Center of Anderson |
Clemson, SC-Clemson University and the Civic Center of Anderson have
reached a gentleman's agreement to have the facility serve as the site of Clemson's men's and women's home basketball games in November and December of 2002. The Civic Center of Anderson is a facility of the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center, which is owned and operated by Anderson Country. Clemson had been looking for an alternate site for Littlejohn Coliseum for the beginning of next year as the facility undergoes extensive renovations. The capacity for the Civic Center of Anderson for the Clemson games will be approximately 5,200. It is anticipated that Littlejohn will be ready for play after January 1, 2003. Should Littlejohn Coliseum not be ready by January 1, 2003, the school would continue to play games in the Civic Center of Anderson until Littlejohn is ready for play.
