Clemson Hosts Georgia Tech Thursday Night

? Clemson and Georgia Tech will meet on Valentine?s night at Littlejohn Coliseum. Clemson has a 20-20 all-time record on Valentine?s Day, but a 14-4 mark at home. Clemson has more wins at home on Valentine?s Day than any other date on the calendar.

? Cliff Hammonds scored a career high 31 points on 13-23 shooting at North Carolina. He also had a career high five three-point goals and seven rebounds in his 46 minutes. It was his first game with at least 20 points since his November of 2006.

? Hammonds will break Greg Buckner?s all-time Clemson record for games started when he takes the court for the opening of the Georgia Tech game. It will be his 123rd career start, one more than Buckner had between 1994-98.

? Demontez Stitt returned to action at North Carolina after a two-game absense due to a knee injury. The freshman had 13 points on 6-10 shooting and had five assists in 21 minutes. He had scored 15 points at Miami in his previous game.

? K.C. Rivers made 12-19 three-point shots last week on the road against Virginia and North Carolina. He made 8-11 threes in the win at Virginia, tying the Clemson single game record for three-point goals. He now leads the ACC in three-point percentage in ACC games (29-52 for .558), and leads the ACC in made three-point goals per game in ACC play with 3.22.

? David Potter never had consecutive double figure scoring
games over his first 55 games, and now has three in a row. He had 10 points at North Carolina .

? Clemson is 6-5 this year in games played on Saturday or Sunday and 11-1 in games played on the other five days of the week.

Coliseum. That is tied for the most wins over any Clemson opponent with Furman. The Tigers are 27-1 over the years at Littlejohn against the Paladins.

? Trevor Booker had his seventh double-double of the season when he had 10 point and 10 rebounds at North Carolina. Three of his seven double-doubles have come in the three games against North Carolina and Duke.

? North Carolina made 31-36 free throws and the Tigers made just 1-7 in Clemson?s double overtime loss to the Tar Heels on Sunday.

? Clemson has played four overtime games this year, tying the school record for most OT games in a year. Two of the games have been double overtime. It is just the second time Clemson has played two double OT games in the same year (1963-64).
