The Paladins erased a four-run deficit to the Tigers heading into the final frame to get the win. With the win, Furman improved to 29-21. Clemson fell to 35-18 overall with the loss.

Two Paladin runs were scored after Brad McCann made a throwing error from third base. Then, Sam McLain and Steven Hildreth got RBI hits for Furman. Case Cassedy ended the scoring rally with a two-RBI single.

David Mitchell (3-3) earned the win for Furman after pitching the final 1.2 innings. Robert Rohrbaugh (0-1) was credited with the loss for Clemson after giving up the final run in 0.1 innings pitched.

Brad McCann led off a strong second frame for Clemson by reaching on a throwing error, advanced on a single and walk, and then scored on a wild pitch. Then, Garrick Evans continued his recent production with a two-RBI single up the middle.

Furman quickly responded in the top of the next inning, tying the game at 3-3. Brandon Barrett slapped a two-RBI single through the left side of the infield. Barrett then scored on an RBI single by Derek Norman. The Paladins took a 4-3 lead in the fourth after A.J. Davidiuk hit a sacrifice fly to right field to plate Cole Hubka.

Clemson put three more runs on the board in the fifth. Furman loaded the bases after issuing three walks, and McCann dropped a bloop single into right center to score Collin Mahoney from third. McCann currently has a 12-game hitting streak. Then, Herman Demmink scored after Kyle Frank walked with the bases loaded. Ryan Hub added the third run after he hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Michael Johnson.

The Tigers made the lead 7-4 in the seventh. Furman again loaded the bases and walked in a run, this time scoring David Slevin, who extended his hitting streak to 15 games earlier in the inning. The Paladins cut the lead to 7-5 in the top of the eighth when Craig Caudill got a pinch-hit single to plate Matthew Betstill from second base.

Clemson tacked on two more runs in the eighth without getting a hit. Herman Demmink led off with a walk, advanced to second on a balk, and moved to third after Michael Johnson was intentionally walked for the second time. McCann then grounded out to first base, allowing Demmink to score. However, McCann unintentionally knocked the ball out of the first baseman's glove, allowing David Slevin to score from third.
