Three Tigers Earn Preseason All-America Honors

Three Tigers were named to Baseball America's Preseason All-America team on Friday. Junior outfielder Brad Chalk (Greer, SC) is on the first team. In 2006, he batted .353 with a .467 on-base percentage thanks to 41 walks against only 21 strikeouts. Chalk also had a school-record 21 sacrifice bunts and 18 steals in 19 attempts. Junior lefty closer Daniel Moskos (Alta Loma, CA) is on the second team. In 2006, he had a 2.52 ERA and 10 saves in 33 relief appearances. Junior second-baseman Taylor Harbin (Travelers Rest, SC) is also on the second team. In 2006, he hit .319 with 20 doubles, nine homers, and 47 RBIs.

The Tigers, ranked as high as #2 in the preseason by Collegiate Baseball, open their 2007 schedule on February 16 against George Mason at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
