Khalil Greene Named ACC Co-Player-of-the-Week

Clemson, SC - Senior shortstop Khalil Greene (Key West, FL) was named ACC Co-Player-of-the-Week April 29. Greene was 10-for-16 (.625) with a homer, two doubles, six RBIs, and five steals in five attempts while not committing an error in 26 chances. He also walked seven times and did not strike out. He did so while playing four games against teams ranked in the top five in the nation. Against #3 Wake Forest, he was 7-for-10 with four steals in leading the Tigers to two wins in three games. Greene shared ACC honors with Virginia pitcher Jeff Kamrath. It is the second time in 2002 Greene has been lauded by the ACC for its weekly honor, the first player to do so this season. Greene is hitting .460 with a .533 on-base percentage overall in 2002.
