CLEMSON, SC - Jeff Baker was named ACC Co-Player of the Week for

Feb. 25, the conference announced on Tuesday. The junior helped the

Tigers to a three-game sweep of Auburn by batting 5-10 with eight

RBIs, including a single, two doubles, a triple and a home run.

The Woodbridge, VA, native hit 3-5 with seven RBIs with runners in

scoring position, including a three-RBI double in the eighth inning

to lead Clemson to a 6-5 comeback victory over Auburn on Sunday. With

two home runs on Friday, Baker moved into sixth place on the school's

all-time career list with 36 career homers. Baker shared the honors

with N.C. State's Tim Coffield, who batted 8-13 with three home runs

and 17 RBIs in three games against Coppin State.

Clemson will travel to the College of Charleston this Friday before

taking on South Carolina in a two-game set this weekend. Saturday's

game will be played in Columbia at 4:00 PM and Sunday's game will

start at 2:00 PM at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Standing room tickets

will be available for purchase Sunday's contest.

Clemson Moves Up in Two Polls

Tigers jump one spot in rankings

CLEMSON, SC - After its three-game sweep of Auburn, the Clemson

baseball team moved up one spot in two major polls on Monday. The

Tigers climbed to number two in Baseball America, its preseason

ranking. Collegiate Baseball moved the Tigers up one spot to third.

The USA Today/Baseball Weekly poll had not been released as of 6:30

PM.

The Tigers will travel to Charleston, SC, on Friday to play the

College of Charleston at 6:00 PM before a two-game set with South

Carolina. Saturday's game will be played at 4:00 PM in Columbia and

Sunday's affair will start at 2:00 PM at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The

Gamecocks are ranked fifth by Baseball America, fourth by Collegiate

Baseball making the weekend games a consensus top-five matchup.

Reserve Seats Sold Out for Clemson-South Carolina Baseball

Standing room tickets will be sold on Sunday.

CLEMSON, SC - Reserve seats for Sunday's top-five clash between

Clemson and South Carolina at Doug Kingsmore Stadium have been sold

out, baseball ticket manager Bobby Skelton announced today. Standing

room tickets will be sold to the public before Sunday's 2:00 PM game

at the entrance gate in left field. Those tickets will be $5 for

adults and $2 for high school students and younger. Clemson faculty,

staff and students will be admitted to the standing room sections

free by presenting their ID card.
