Clemson, SC - Clemson defeated the Old Dominion Monarchs 18-2 in baseball action from Doug Kingsmore Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Tigers scored in every inning except the first to secure the victory. Kyle Frank had a big day for the Tigers as he went 3-3 with four RBI and three runs scored. Sophomore right hander Jeff Hahn (2-2) got the win for the Tigers. Hahn pitched 6.0 innings, gave up one run on three hits, one walk, and had five strikeouts. James Burok (0-2) dropped the decision for the Monarchs.

Kris Harvey belted his first career home run as a Tiger in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Clemson's 15th run of the day. Harvey's homer came on the first pitch he faced after entering the game in the top half of the inning.

Clemson scored three runs in the eighth to cap off an 18 run, 15 hit performance-so far the most productive offensive day of the year.

The Monarchs got on the board in the top of the sixth only to see the Tigers tack on seven runs in the bottom half of the inning. The sixth was the biggest inning for the Tigers on the day.

The Tigers earned two runs in the fifth. After Michael Johnson reached on a walk and advanced to second on a balk, Kyle Frank hit a single to center to drive Johnson in making the score 6-0. Triplett drove in the second run of the inning with a hit into left that scored Frank from second.

In the bottom of the fourth, David Slevin hit his second home run of the year over the left field fence for the Tigers' fifth run of the afternoon.

The Tigers were able to stretch their early lead in the bottom of the third when Kyle Frank laid down a bunt with the bases loaded that scored both Garrick Evans and Ryan Hub to make the score 4-0.

Brad McCann launched his first career home run over the centerfield fence to get the Tigers on the board first in the bottom of the second inning. The Tigers were able to earn a second run in the inning when co-captain Kyle Frank followed McCann with a double to left and later advanced to third when Russell Triplett grounded out to second. Then, Brady Everett dumped a single in front of Monarch right fielder Marquee Hairston, advanced to second on an error and drove in Frank from third to make the score 2-0.

The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday as they play host to Tennessee Tech at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
