Clemson University Overall Season Record: 4-5 Conference Record: 0-0 Last Week: 2-2 W home vs. Gardner-Webb, 8-5 W away vs. College of Charleston, 15-4 L away vs. #5 South Carolina, 5-2 L home vs. #5 South Carolina, 8-7 in 10 innings Baseball America's College Top 25 DURHAM, N.C.- Stanford stayed atop Baseball America's Top 25 weekly college baseball rankings while Texas and South Carolina enjoyed perfect weeks to rise two spots each to second and third in the poll. Four unranked teams forced their way into the poll this week, led by UC Irvine joining the rankings at No. 18 after sweeping former No. 25 Baylor (now unranked) for its second road series win against a Top 25 team. The Anteaters won a series against No. 19 Arizona in February. Mississippi rose two spots to No. 10 with a 5-0 week, and two other Magnolia State schools made their Top 25 debuts. Southern Mississippi ranks No. 21 with eight straight wins and an 11-1 record while Mississippi State checks in at No. 22 with a perfect 7-0 mark. Florida schools also had an impact on the poll, with Florida Atlantic and Florida rising to Nos. 15 and 16 and Florida State rejoining the poll at No. 24 after a one-week absence. Miami stayed at No. 6. The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through games of March 7 and do not include ties.

LSU NO. 1 IN COLLEGIATE BASEBALL NEWSPAPER
TUCSON, Ariz. — Louisiana State University is ranked No. 1 for the third straight week in Collegiate Baseball newspaper's NCAA Division I baseball poll.
The Tigers (12-2) have won 10 of their last 11 games. During the past week, LSU beat Tulane and took two of three from Houston. The Tigers' 12-2 mark through 14 games is LSU's best since the 2001 club also posted a 12-2 record through its first 14 contests.
Poll Notes: South Carolina is 12-0 on the season. The Gamecocks have hit a home run in all 12 games (29 on the season) and are hitting .374 as a team. The South Carolina pitching staff features a staff ERA of 1.85 with 147 strikeouts and only 16 walks in 107 innings. Other red-hot teams include: Florida, Mississippi and Southern Mississippi (all with 11 consecutive wins), Arizona State and Auburn (9 wins in a row), Texas (8 straight victories) and Miami, Fla. and Mississippi St. (7 consecutive wins). Five teams dropped out of the poll this week in Oregon St., Arizona, Cal. St. Fullerton, Washington and Clemson.
