Berney ran his scoreless inning streak to 30.0 innings in earning his fourth victory against UNLV.

CLEMSON, SC -- Clemson senior righthander Scott Berney (Hamden, CT) was named ACC Pitcher-of-the-Week Tuesday, March 7 for his performance against UNLV on March 3. It was the second time in as many weeks that the transfer from Connecticut has been recognized by the conference.


Berney threw 8.0 scoreless innings against the Rebels, allowing just six hits and two walks while striking out five. He ran his scoreless inning streak to 30.0 innings in earning his fourth victory against the Rebels. Berney has allowed just has allowed 18 hits and three walks along with 20 strikeouts in four starts and 30.0 innings pitched this season. Berney will look to up his scoreless streak when he takes the mound Friday at 3:00 against Ohio at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
