Clemson versus Florida State doesn't have the pop nationally that it’s had in the past, but that doesn’t mean one of the ACC’s best rivalries doesn’t draw plenty of recruiting attention.

Three of the top offensive linemen in the 2021 class will be on hand with 5-star tackle Amarius Mims headlining the group.

Mims, out of Cochran (GA) Bleckley County, included Clemson in his top-eight schools in early July, along with Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and South Carolina. He is a consensus top-50 rated prospect overall with a No. 2-rating at offensive tackle by both Rivals and 247Sports. This will be his second visit to Clemson for a game this season after visiting for the Texas A&M game in September.

Another headliner is 4-star offensive lineman Micah Morris of Kingsland (GA) Camden County. Morris is coached by Bob Sphire, who coached former Clemson offensive lineman Mitch Hyatt at North Gwinnett.

The third top offensive lineman is Nolan Rucci, a 4-star out of Lititz (PA) Warwick. Penn State looks to be the leader for Rucci.

A top 2021 wide receiver will be on hand in 5-star wide receiver Beaux Collins out of Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco. Collins is the teammate of Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei and visited Clemson’s campus in June with his teammates for head coach Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. Collins left camp with an offer.

“It went great. It was a great visit. I thought there was great energy around the campus, and Coach Swinney seemed like a really genuine guy,” Collins told TigerNet. “What stood out to me the most was how long the receivers coach, Jeff Scott, has been there with Coach Swinney. There are just great vibes at Clemson. It was a learning experience for me, just to see how he coaches and get the vibe from him.”

Swinney and Scott took Collins to Death Valley to make the announcement of an offer.

“It was a pretty special moment for me. One of the biggest moments of my life so far, just being able to get the offer from Coach Swinney and Coach Scott in Death Valley, that was pretty big,” Collins said. “First, they walked up to me and Coach Swinney told me how the National Championship is going to be in California in 2023 and he was just saying how they loved me as a person more than a player first. He then said that they wanted to offer me a scholarship. That was pretty big to me.”

Collins currently boasts 25 offers, including Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ohio St., Notre Dame, Texas, and Southern Cal.

Would he mind playing away from home?

“My parents are all for me leaving California and getting experience away from them, I think it would be great for me to leave California,” Collins said.
