Wide receiver who had 55 catches for 955 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior at Walton High School in Marietta…played his football for Ed Dudley at Walton High…in the spirit of Clemson receivers in front of him, also an outstanding return man, he averaged 19 yards on punt returns in 2003…finished the 2003 season with 1,591 all-purpose running yards…lettered three years in football and two years in basketball…first-team All-State at the 5A class in 2003…also first-team All-Cobb County…Cobb County Player of the Year by Cobb County touchdown Club and Marietta Daily Journal…team finished season with 11-1 record and regional championship…had first undefeated regular season (10-0) in school history…born Aaron Galen Kelly on April 2, 1986…chose Clemson over Wake Forest, NC State and Duke.
Quoting Kelly: "I chose Clemson because they had the best balance of academics and athletics....Another big reason I chose Clemson was because they said the opportunity was there to play as a freshman. Derrick Hamilton leaving could open more doors, but I have to earn those opportunities by working hard."
