Elliott says Clemson will have RB by committee this season

Clemson running backs coach Tony Elliott told me this morning that senior Rod McDowell is the starter heading into the season, but that college football has moved away from one main back and cited Alabama using both Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon last season. As a result, he sees Clemson using more of a running back by committee this season.

He said he loves the physicality that freshmen Wayne Gallman and Tyshon Dye bring. Called Gallman a "headhunter" because he spent so much time on defense at Grayson.

Note - Tyshon Dye is now at 215 pounds.
