Diehl Making an Impression on Defenders

Diehl Making an Impression on Defenders

Speak to Clemson fullback Chad Diehl's teammates, and the words "nasty" and "beast" and "ferocious" come out, but talk to Diehl, and you get the impression that he is the worst player on the team and hoping to just keep his scholarship.

From what Dabo sez and what Bowden/Spence did with him, you'd think they were two different players.

Watch Tape of SC Game - Diehl Indeed Is a Beast

Dec 29, 2008, 7:42 PM

If you watch the replay of the SC game, you'll see Diehl putting the SC defenders on their backside, play afer play. His take-out of Culliver, when he knocked Culliver 5 yards backward on his a**, set up the big run by Spiller for our first touchdown. Diehl is the type of player we need to bring back that hard-nose Tiger football we learned to love under Danny.

He reminds me of Chris Lancaster***

When you are serious about running the ball, you need a fullback to lead your RB. Yeah, OK, I've been saying that all year, but I never got the call from Spence asking my advice.

You don't have to play a FB all the time, but have a complete package which includes a FB, and run it when you need to. I think DABO is going to do that.

Man, Dabo is really getting back to solid Clemson football!!
