Clemson's newest QB ready to get to work

Hunter Helms is a preferred walk-on from Columbia (SC) Gray Collegiate Academy who had a chance for a full ride at South Florida under former Clemson assistant Jeff Scott. But Helms went with his dream school and he will head to Clemson, moving in this weekend.

My first thought was his name is Hunter and maybe he can move to WR. But, the kid can play especially for a walk-on. He has great pocket awareness, good quick feet and he has some zip on his passes. He sure looks like he could provide quality depth and he's one of those kids that really wants to be at Clemson which is a good factor.
All I have seen is his Hudl highlights which is not a real game, but you can tell he has some game.

No doubt he can play - but based on the 99% likelihood he will never get off the bench, Helms must be at Clemson for his education as well as to support the team. So bully for him and best wishes for a great 4-5 years!
