Another week, another prolific offense

A week after taking on Syracuse and it’s fast attack offense, Brent Venables’ group faces a Wake Forest offense that is ranked 23rd nationally in total offense and averages 38 points per game. The Demon Deacons are also one of the fastest offenses in the nation, averaging 86.60 plays per game (third overall).

Prolific? Really? Barely ranked in top 20%.

There is potentially even a difference between the best offense in the nation and “prolific”. But to call a 23rd ranked offense “prolific” begs questions. Let’s keep it down to Earth here.

But the bad thing for WF is they give up almost as much as they score , right around 32 pts.
Our O full of speed and talent will put up big numbers tomorrow.
