Chad Smith, wasn't it? It was a cheap shot but looked legal to me.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

It was a borderline block in the back...***

Was it actually legal though? At that point a Clemson player had the ball, so why would Jackson need to lay a block on someone? Neither player was really close to where the ball was so there was really no need for the hit, and it was quite obvious the hit was simply out of frustration. I'm sure the refs probably just didn't see it, but it very well should have been a 15 yard penalty IMO.

yeah he blindsided Chad Smith

Sep 21, 2017, 5:09 PM

instead of pursuing the ball.

Yep... he probably could've made a play and prevented the pick six since he's so fast! Just didn't want to put in the effort, would rather take out his frustration on someone other than himself. But that's a heisman characteristic apparently...

Seems like we got flagged for this when Radakovich made a block away from the play last year. No consistency in calls makes me nuts!

If you go back and look at the tape, I heard Herbie mention it right after it occurred. Something about Jackson did it out of frustration.

I didn't see it, but I cannot imagine DW doing that. That is the biggest difference between them. Can't see KB doing it either.
