3 RB's is plenty for a season ...
no need to waste a year in mop up time against Kent State and the Coots.

Agree RBs want to get to the NFL early. No reason to redshirt a guy who could leave after 3. If he is physically ready get him some reps.

Eligibility isn't viewed like it was in the 80s anymore. Guys don't want to sit and fifth year seniors are sort of a dying breed outside of offensive linemen. If Etienne is good enough to go pro in 3 years he will whether he's a junior or a RS Soph. Better to get him reps and get some of his explosiveness on the field this season, even if it's only a handful of snaps per game. That is invaluable experience.

all look primed to have great years. A lot of that can be attributed to their respective redshirt years. We aren't fully a 3 and out program yet.

Coaches have said that Rudolph and Williams may play, mostly out of need. They would like to RS them
Baylon Spector might see the field
Blake Vinson is going to play

Some of these guys can see the field on special teams; no way to RS Etienne. These kids, if they are good, will leave after their junior year. Play him. The three OL, yep, agree.

A red shirt is a good opportunity, but he's talking about guys who could leave after their third year, hence only two years playing.

Look at how many juniors have left Clemson the last three years. Get them on the field when they come in. They are that good. Red shirting is good for linemen and QBs. I'm basically talking OL. Just my opinion of course

M. Alexander left after his soph year cause redshirted, albeit an injury forced a redshirt on him.

Will Swinney will not redshirt. Will probably be the placekick holder.
