respect/love him already. Watch all ten congratulate him on his TD. Look at the joy on their faces. There's an admiration their that you would see in his Clemson teammates' faces.

They feel how good he can be , and how mature he is at playing the most difficult position on the field .

No question he will start sooner than later.

The Texans didn't trade up to draft Watson because they thought he needed a year watching Tom Savage.

They drafted him because they want to win and win now. They know Watson is the present and the future.

Even though Savage is virtually a rookie in the NFL, he's already 27 years old after having bounced around through three different college programs.

Honestly, it's not an even race.

Savage will have to be substantially better than Deshaun to hold on to the starting QB spot.

To paraphrase Jake Bentley, so far, Savage "... has not been substantially better, or even better at all."
