When I see experts predict a 6-2 record in ACC play, but us winning the conference, it drives me crazy. Nobody is winning the Atlantic with 2 losses.

The Atlantic didn't have a 7 win team for the first 7 years

of the division. 6-2 won the division 5 times and FSU won twice at 5-3. While i would expect the champion to have at least 7 conference wins this year, i don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to have a 6-2 champion. This is the probably the deepest and most balanced the division has been in quite some time. I don't know if there's going to be too much separation between Clemson and FSU, and Louisville and State are both looking like dangerous road trips. Outside of the division we also face a tough GT team the week after ND, and travel to Miami to play a pretty talented (albeit up and down) Canes team.

We have the potential to field a great team this year and we will need to in order to go 7-1 or better in the league this year. If we are anything less than great i could easily see some parity in the division and a 6-2 champion could come into play.

It's a two team race and that's it. If we beat FSU, who are we losing to? Just don't see that happening at all.

Beating FSU doesn't get you 7 other wins automatically. Of course

It's possible we could beat fsu and lose to someone else - to not think so would be incredibly naive. FSU beat us then lost at State a few years ago to finish 7-1.

How do we go 6-2 in conference

Aug 14, 2015, 11:55 AM

and win the Atlantic? We beat FSWho and then lose 2 conf games? FSWho loses another conf game?

If we do win the ACC, it be with more than 1 loss. This is a legit division. Not the SEC east***
