To me I don't find that too surprising, since workout and practices are their full time job. In college, training time is limited, due to classes, tutoring sessions, homework, etc. (and limited by the NCAA)
BUT!
I've always heard that you grow until about 26 or 27 yrs old, so you're not peaking until well out of school. I know personally, I added about 3/4" to my height my sophomore year. I was wondering why my pants had all shrunk. LOL.
