I've never understood some these recruiting rules.

What is the purpose of not allowing head coaches to hit the road during the spring eval period? Seems like this would be the best time to do it. Spring practice is over, summer camps are a couple of months away. I don't understand why this would be a bad thing. Everyone would be on equal footing same general time frame, etc. So why does this one exist.

I understand some of the dead periods leading up to signing day and things like that but this one seems dumb to me.

"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton
