I already bet a 100 at 22/1 for Watson to win the Heisman. I think he is down to 16/1 now. If he stays healthy and our OL performs I think he wins it.

If he doesn't win it this year...

Watson will be a top 5 favorite to win heisman in 2016.

Winning the Heisman would......

not only be an outstanding achievement for DWatt, but would take the momentum that our football program has been building to a completely other level. A Heisman trophy has a profound effect on so many things associated with an elite program that the benefits reaped from such an accomplishment would be incaluable for this program and the goals set by CDS. I think that we have set the bar for other programs to follow and this would raise the bar even higher. I know that we ultimately want a national championship but the direction of this program would indicate that we are certaily in that rarified air and a Heiman could be the nudge to get it to that summit........imho!

I think a National Championship will benefit Clemson a lot more than a player winning the Heisman. Andre Ware won the Heisman for the University Of Houston but it didn't change their national perception.

Of course......

a national championship IS the goal but what I'm saying is that a Heisman would be beneficial in that process. Can we win the NC without a Heisman........of course. Would a Heisman greatly help us achieve that goal before we won that NC.....of course. And, the University of Houston wasn't and never will be where we are right now....ELITE!

He has room on some stats and will hold on others

Just having more playing time assuming no injury will help him.

Since he was mentioned - I don't get Kayaa hype

I'm not saying he's bad. And I don't watch the Canes that closely. But in the parts of games I saw last season he seemed pretty erratic at times. And his overall numbers at the end weren't exactly great.

I'd put Justin Thomas ahead of Kayaa for performance to date for example.
